 Today, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is no longer something considered as an addition to a company’s core business. Indeed, it is now at the heart of its fundamental principles.   CSR
## Our CSR commitment

Whether it concerns employee well-being, our responsibility as an employer, or the need to preserve resources in order to protect the environment and control costs, everything points to viewing these issues as strategic and placing them at the heart of our activities and priorities.

Through its CSR policy, FILAB aims to ensure that the company considers the impact of its activities on society and the environment and contributes positively to their improvement.

This policy is structured around four key areas, regularly monitored by a dedicated CSR steering committee and by the company’s management bodies.

Improved waste management through a dedicated waste collection and processing partner; reduced reprocessing of our customers’ samples by specifying the exact quantity required to carry out our analysis; and employee awareness of sustainable development, notably through workshops based on [The Climate Fresk.](https://fresqueduclimat.org/)

### Social/HR

Work to improve working conditions (work environment, ergonomics, flexibility, career development); participation in events under the FILAB banner; regular surveys on Quality of Working Life; welcoming interns and work-study students, particularly from local training programs; and monitoring our performance in terms of equal pay for women and men through the establishment of the [Gender Pay Equality Index.](https://filab.fr/en/legal-notices.md)

 Maintaining ongoing transparency with our teams through monthly meetings presenting a review of the previous month’s activities (safety, investments, recruitment, etc.); improving internal communication, notably through the implementation of an HR information system; introducing a Code of Conduct to be shared with our partners (customers and suppliers); and sharing the results of our EcoVadis assessment with our customers….
