Laboratory accredited ISO 17025 by COFRAC for the characterization of nanomaterials

FILAB: 1st COFRAC ISO 17025 accredited laboratory for the characterization of nanomaterials

Numerous standards and regulations govern the classification of materials and finished products with respect to nanomaterials and nanoparticles. Size, solubility and number distribution criteria are used to classify these products according to specific definitions.

FILAB, specialized in the analysis of nanomaterials and nanoparticles, is the first COFRAC ISO 17025 accredited laboratory for the characterization of nanomaterials.

The FILAB laboratory, accompanies you in the characterization of nanomaterials and nanoparticles under accreditation

Actors in cosmetics, medical devices, electronics, textile industry, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, food or fine chemicals, you are looking to classify your substances (nano or not?) or to improve or substitute your products by using nano (nanosensors, nanovectors, nanoparticles, nanocomposites, nanocatalysis…).

For this, the support of a laboratory accredited by COFRAC ISO 17025 in nanocharacterization and with an adapted analytical park, allows you to evaluate your products and raw materials.

Our COFRAC ISO 17025 accreditation scope includes :

  • Size and shape distribution of nanoparticles by SEM-EDX
  • Nanoparticle size determination by SP-ICPMS

Why choose FILAB for your nanometric analysis?

In addition to the fact that we are the first French laboratory to obtain COFRAC ISO 17025 accreditation for the classification and characterization of nanomaterials, we are able to offer you tailor-made support from our expert Thomas Gautier.

Indeed, having a solid experience in nanomaterials characterization and particulate contamination analysis, Thomas joined FILAB in 2018, with the will to develop our laboratory’s skills around these topics. Thomas now coordinates the activities of the Materials Expertise department, and provides technical support for your nanomaterials and nanoparticles analysis requests.
