# Laboratory analysis of veterinary drugs following VICH guidelines

## Your needs : to analyze the compliance of your veterinary drugs, following VICH guidelines

VICH (Veterinary International Conference on Harmonization) is a common program between the European Union, the United States and Japan with the aim of harmonizing the technical requirements for the registration of products intended for animal health, namely in the context of a request for authorization to put a product to market.

VICH is the veterinary equivalent of the ICH program. They both contain guidelines intended for analytical validation or even for the analysis of impurities in veterinary drugs.

Here are a few examples of VICH guidelines :

- VICH GL 1/GL 2 for [validation procedures for analytical methods](https://filab.fr/en/our-services/rd/life-cycle-of-an-analytical-method-in-the-laboratory/laboratory-analytical-method-validation/validation-of-laboratory-analysis-methods-according-to-the-ich-q2-standard/)
- VICH GL 18 for the analysis of [impurities](https://filab.fr/en/our-services/our-analysis-services/analysis-ich-q3d-context.md), [residual solvents](https://filab.fr/en/sectors-of-activity/health-pharmaceutical-cosmetics/laboratory-analyis-ich-q3c.md) in veterinary drugs, [active ingredients (APIs)](https://filab.fr/en/sectors-of-activity/health-pharmaceutical-cosmetics/laboratory-analysis-active-ingredients.md) and [excipients](https://filab.fr/en/sectors-of-activity/health-pharmaceutical-cosmetics/laboratory-analysis-excipient.md)
- VICH GL 10/GL 11 for the analysis of substances found in veterinary drugs, [active ingredients (APIs)](https://filab.fr/en/sectors-of-activity/health-pharmaceutical-cosmetics/laboratory-analysis-active-ingredients.md) and [excipients](https://filab.fr/en/sectors-of-activity/health-pharmaceutical-cosmetics/laboratory-analysis-excipient.md)
- VICH GL25 for testing of residual formaldehyde
- …
