# Young&#8217;s Modulus measurement in laboratory

### What is Young's Modulus ?

Young’s modulus, also known as modulus of elasticity, is a method of measuring the stiffness of a material. It measures a material’s ability to resist deformation when subjected to stress.

### How to interpret the results ?

A low Young’s Modulus indicates that a material is very flexible, while a high Young’s Modulus indicates that a material is rigid.
