 What is the difference between unalloyed magnesium and magnesium alloys?
 ISO 8287 deals exclusively with **unalloyed magnesium** (used as a raw material). For alloys (such as AZ91), other analytical standards apply, although the measurement techniques remain similar.

 Which elements are most closely monitored in this standard?
**Iron and Copper** are particularly monitored because, even at very low levels, they drastically reduce magnesium's **corrosion resistance**.

 Which technique does Filab prioritize for ISO 8287?
Depending on the sample geometry, we use either **Spark-OES** (direct on solid) for speed, or **ICP-OES** (after acid digestion) for increased precision on very low impurity levels.

 Can Hydrogen content in magnesium be analyzed?
