Il existe cependant deux types de bronze selon leur composition :

   jusqu’à 16 % d'étain, ces bronzes sont des alliages pour corroyage ( soudure ou forgeage à chaud) au delà de 16 % d'étain, ce sont des alliages de fonderie

## FAQ

 Pourquoi analyser chimiquement un bronze ?
L’analyse permet de :

- **identifier la composition exacte** de l’alliage, surtout en cas d’origine inconnue,
- **vérifier la conformité à une norme ou spécification** (bronze au plomb, bronze phosphoreux…),
- **détecter des écarts** pouvant expliquer un problème de performance (usure prématurée, corrosion, rupture…),
- **suivre la qualité matière** en fabrication ou en maintenance.

 Peut-on analyser un bronze ancien ou oxydé ?
Oui, mais une **préparation spécifique** est nécessaire pour éliminer les couches de corrosion en surface, afin d’obtenir une mesure représentative de l’alliage de base.

 L’analyse permet-elle de déterminer les performances mécaniques d’un bronze ?
Non directement. L’analyse chimique donne la composition, mais pour connaître les **propriétés mécaniques** (dureté, limite d’élasticité…), il faut la compléter par des essais mécaniques (traction, dureté, microstructure…).
