# Measurement of ash content on polymers

## You wish to carry out ash content measurement tests on your polymers

The measurement of ash content is a test method for determining a possible change in weight of the polymer sample upon incineration as a function of temperature. 

The ISO 3451 standard determines the general methods and the corresponding appropriate test conditions to determine the ash content of a range of plastics.

The standard NF T 30-012 is used as a reference for the measurement of the ash content of paints or varnishes
