### What is nanomaterial release?

First of all, chemical molecules with low molecular weight or small size present in the composition of a material are more likely to be **transferred to the environment in contact with the material**, even more so if the material is aqueous. This type of transfer is called leaching. Thus, in the presence of nanomaterials, there is a risk of **release** of nanomaterials into their environment. 

### Why perform a nanomaterial release analysis?

The problem of the release of nanomaterials is a major issue in the fields of cosmetics, health and food.
