## FILAB laboratory carries out powder analysis by BET according to European Pharmacopoeia 2.9.26

The specific surface area of a material refers to its actual surface area as opposed to its apparent surface area. It represents the total surface area per unit mass and is expressed in m²/g. In the case of powders, it makes it possible to assess the powder’s porosity.

The **chapter** *2.9.26. of* the European Pharmacopoeia describes the methodology for measuring specific surface area by gas adsorption.
