### What is the RCC-M code?

RCC-M is the French code that defines the Design and Construction Rules for Mechanical Components of PWR nuclear islands. It is a set of French technical standards governing the design, manufacture, and maintenance of mechanical components for pressurized water nuclear reactors (PWRs).

It is mainly used by the nuclear industry to ensure the safety and reliability of equipment exposed to extreme conditions.

### Why carry out chemical analysis to meet RCC-M requirements?

If you are responsible **for manufacturing or modifying equipment intended for use in a nuclear power plant** in accordance with RCC-M, you need to analyze the chloride, fluoride, and sulfide content in your products, as specified in RCC-M Appendix V.
