Heat capacity analysis by DSC in laboratory

Your needs: perform heat capacity analysis by DSC on your materials

What is DSC heat capacity analysis?

DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry DSC) is a thermal analysis technique. It measures the differences in heat exchange between a sample to be analyzed and a control (a reference).

Heat capacity is an intrinsic physical property that determines the level of heat required to change the temperature of a substance by a predefined amount.

Heat capacity analysis by DSC is used to determine the evaluation of the behavior of materials:

By a DSC analysis (Differential Scanning Calorimetry), it is also possible to know the rates of cross-linking of certain polymers, by measurements of enthalpies of reaction.

These analysis are carried out under sweeping of an inert gas (argon or nitrogen). This method avoids any potential reaction of the material with the atmosphere of the DSC oven.
