What does approval from the SAFRAN Group mean?
SAFARN approval is a qualification given by the SAFARN group to attest to the compliance of the analytical techniques used in a laboratory in accordance with the groups scope statement. This qualification is also used as a starting point for many companies in the aeronautics industry.
After performing peer to peer interlaboratory comparative testing, The SARFAN Group carefully selects service providers able to meet their requirements and grants them approval for one of more analytical methods.
FILAB : a SAFRAN approved laboratory
For many years, FILAB has had Laboratory Qualification from the SAFAN group for performing GRP-0087 and GRM-0123 procedures. SAFRAN approval covers chemical analysis of metallic alloys and inorganic substances : elemental analyzers (C, H, O, N, S), spark OES and atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES).
Our approval from the SAFRAN Group has been renewed multiple times, with audits of our premises regularly being organized by the group. It is a recognition of the organization, hard work and know-how of our teams and their aptitude to meet the requirements of the aeronautics industry.
