Vitamin A or retinol, is a fat-soluble vitamin, like vitamin E. Vitamin A helps preserve visual acuity and strengthen the immune system thanks to its antioxidant action.

Present in the body, in animals and plants and in certain foods (sweet potatoes, carrots, peppers …), retinol is mainly used for its properties of cell renewal and restoration of skin elasticity, in the design of cosmetics (anti-aging creams) and drugs (dietary supplements or slowing of eye diseases).

In view of the ever-increasing number of regulations, the actors of the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food industry are controlling their products in a more regular and precise way.
