Laboratory analysis and determination of phenoxyethanol contents in cosmetic products

Your needs: to determine and analyze the phenoxyethanol contents of your cosmetic products

Phenoxyethanol is an aromatic glycol ether and can be found in most cosmetic, hygiene and pharmaceutical products (body lotions, face cremes, skin products, makeup, baby wipes…). Phenoxyethanol is mostly used as a preservative to stop bacteria from developing.

Since the early 2000s, this preservative has been subject to strict European regulations which limit the presence of phenoxyethanol in cosmetic products to a concentration of 1%.
