First of all, contamination is an uncontrolled element present that can be detrimental to the compliance or performance of a product. Contamination can occur throughout the production process. Closely related to the notion of size, contamination is often not detectable to the naked eye.
The analysis of surface contamination can be carried out in a context of quality control of your product or of the raw materials used during the manufacturing process.
In order to analyze the contamination of the surface of your material, you can carry out various types of analysis such as :
- Conformity analysis: in this case, the analyses are performed to control and confirm the conformity of the product with respect to the regulations (analysis of heavy metals, analysis of nanomaterials, chemical dosages…)
- Failure analysis: when a contamination appears during the production process, at any time, hindering the release of the batches (dust contamination, cross pollution, deposits, color change…)
- Analysis of a cleaning process: here, the control of surface contamination allows to validate or not the efficiency of a cleaning process.
