Safety test of temporary-use ingredients for SAFRAN (Pr-6300 et Pr-1500)
Metallurgy manufacturer looking for a laboratory to test the safety of temporary-use ingredients in accordance with SAFRAN's Pr-6300 standard
SAFRAN accreditation - what's it all about ?
SAFRAN approval is a qualification issued by the SAFRAN Group to certify the conformity of analysis techniques used in a laboratory to the Group’s specifications. This qualification also serves as a basis for many companies in the aerospace sector.
Following inter-laboratory comparison tests (PTP), SAFRAN selects service providers meeting the Group’s requirements, and grants approval for one or more defined analysis methods.
Pr-6300 safety tests
Document Pr-6300 is a document issued by SAFRAN which defines the safety tests to be carried out to authorize the use of temporary-use ingredients on Safran-designed metallic equipment.
This document is applicable whenever it is mentioned in the technical definition of an ingredient.
There are 3 types of temporary-use ingredients that can meet the safety test requirements defined in Safran document Pr-6300.
Liquid products
Paste or flexible solid products
Rigid solid products
FILAB laboratory performs safety tests on temporary-use ingredients for SAFRAN
The FILAB laboratory supports manufacturers in the qualification of their products, guaranteeing their safety and conformity through safety tests on metal equipment in accordance with SAFRAN’s Pr 6300.
Safety test define the corrosive impact of chemical products. They are tested on different materials (aluminum, copper, stainless steels, etc.) and under different stresses (thermal, mechanical, etc.).
For several years now, FILAB has held the Laboratory Qualification issued by the SAFRAN Group under procedures GRP-0087 and GRM-0123. The accreditation covers chemical analysis of metal alloys and mineral products: elemental analyzers (C/S, N/O and H), Spark Optical Emission Spectrometry (SEO) and Plasma Emission Spectrometry (ICP-AES).
This accreditation recognizes the organization, work and knowledge of our teams, and their ability to meet the demands of the aerospace industry.
