Laboratory analysis of adipates in polymers

What are adipates ?

Adipates are esters mainly used in polymeric matrices. These materials are strong yet lightweight and are good light insulators. They are namely used in :

  • Solvents (coatings, paint, lubricants, ink…)
  • Industrial cleaner
  • Plasticizers for cellulosic resins
  • Food packaging

However, due to potential carcinogenic effects, the Regulation (EC) N°1272/2008 requires specific labelling for products containing adipates.

FILAB laboratory is able to assist you in analyzing adipates found in your industrial matrices.
