What de we mean by BTEX ?
BTEX is an abbreviation standing for Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylene which are all toxic volatile organic compounds. Exposure to BTEX compounds can have adverse effects on a person’s health (neurobiological, respiratory and genetic lesions) and on the environment. More specifically, Benzene has been classified as a carcinogen.
