First, DEP (diethylphthalate) is a member of the phthalate family. Phthalates are commonly used as additives to soften plastics and other plasticised materials found in many consumer products.
These substances make plastics soft and flexible. They do not form chemical bonds with the plastics to which they are added. As a result, phthalates can be released from consumer products into the environment.
Therefore, film analysis expertise is needed to prevent problems such as container-content interaction concerns.
Therefore, only a laboratory with state-of-the-art film analysis equipment is able to perform DEP film analysis.
FILAB’s laboratory has an analytical park of 2100m² and a qualified team. It assists manufacturers from all sectors in their laboratory analysis of DEP film (PVC).
