Your teams need DSC training

What is Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)?

“Differential Scanning Calorimetry” (DSC) is a thermal analysis technique. Its principle is to measure the differences in heat exchange between a sample to be analysed and a reference sample. FILAB laboratory, DSC training organisation.

When should DSC analysis be carried out?

DSC analysis can be used to determine the different transition phases of a material:

  • the glass transition temperature (Tg) of polymers, metallic glasses and ionic liquids
  • the melting and crystallisation temperature of materials.

However, the use of the DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) analysis technique also makes it possible to determine the cross-linking rates of certain polymers, by measuring the enthalpies of reaction.

In addition, calorimetric analyses using DSC in the laboratory are carried out under a sweep of inert gas (argon or nitrogen). This method avoids any potential reaction of the material with the atmosphere in the DSC oven.

FILAB's DSC training ...

Have you just acquired a DSC in your laboratory? Are the person(s) responsible no longer part of your team? Would you like to develop your expertise in DSC analysis and use of the results?

As an accredited training organisation, FILAB supports your teams in the use of the Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) analysis technique, whatever your sector of activity.

At FILAB, we develop and offer our customers tailor-made training courses tailored to your industrial issues or analytical challenges.

To register for the course or to obtain a quote, please contact us directly by email or telephone.

Training will start within 3 months of acceptance of the agreement.
