What is toluene?
Toluene is an aromatic hydrocarbon derived from benzene. It is a colorless, volatile liquid with an odor similar to that of benzene.
It is generally produced by catalytic reformation (chemical operation used to valorize a fraction of oil). The method to obtain it is always simultaneously with benzene and other aromatic hydrocarbons from which it is then separated by fractionation.
