What is GDMS analysis ?

The Glow Discharge Mass Spectrometry (GDMS) technique can be used to determine the elemental composition and identify unknown or undesirable impurities in many materials. This high-resolution mass spectrometry technique uses a glow discharge to ionize samples and analyze ions. Its high sensitivity enables the detection of very low concentrations of elements, down to trace and ultra-trace levels.
