Transparency and pedagogy at the heart of your chemical and material analyses
For more than forty years, FILAB has been helping manufacturers understand their materials and products.
Based in Dijon, our laboratory specializes in organic and inorganic chemistry as well as materials characterization. With more than 140 employees and a 5,200 m² analytical park, we perform 98% of services in-house.
Our ambition is not only to provide analyses: we aim to be a trusted partner by offering total transparency in our methods and clear, educational explanations, so that every result is both understood and actionable.
Transparency and education
We place great importance on producing reports that are clear, structured, and understandable. Each result is presented in a way that is educational and well-organized, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while remaining easy to read.
Transparency also guides our internal practices: our CSR policy includes monthly meetings to share reports on safety, investments, and recruitment with our teams, as well as a Code of Conduct distributed to our partners.
Our CSR commitment has been recognized with an Ecovadis medal, reflecting enhanced transparency for our customers and employees alike.
Beyond delivering reports, we offer video debriefings with our technical experts. These interactive sessions give your teams the opportunity to ask questions and fully understand the results.
Our human-scale structure ensures responsiveness and availability: a single contact follows your project from start to finish, guaranteeing smooth communication and saving valuable time. This educational approach accelerates decision-making and helps integrate conclusions directly into your processes.
Scientific rigor requires complete documentation and traceability. FILAB is ISO 17025 accredited and operates under Good Laboratory Practices. Every sample, protocol, and result is carefully recorded and archived in compliance with industry standards.
Our quality management system ensures that all operations are traceable, providing you with strong evidence to support your regulatory compliance.
Transparency and pedagogy also mean adapting to your needs. Whether you are looking to develop an analytical method, solve a failure issue, or optimize a process, we provide tailor-made support.
Our experts can visit your production sites to identify anomalies, analyze supply chains, processes, or material assemblies, and then propose concrete action plans: drafting stricter specifications, implementing internal quality controls, adjusting production parameters, or training your teams.
Through this methodological and analytical support, we help you strengthen process control and reduce non-conformities.
High-Level expertise and technical resources
Founded in 1979, FILAB is an independent laboratory staffed by a team of PhDs, engineers, and specialized technicians. Our independence guarantees impartial analyses and strict data confidentiality.
Over the years, we have invested in a wide range of advanced technologies: chromatography (GC-MS, LC-MS/MS), spectrometry (ICP-AES, ICP-MS), scanning electron microscopy, X-ray tomography, thermal analyses, and more.
This extensive equipment enables us to address virtually all challenges in chemical analysis and materials characterization, from metals and polymers to ceramics and powders.
Our 140 employees include specialized engineers, doctors, and technicians, whose expertise ensures short turnaround times, expert availability, and the ability to resolve even the most complex issues.
Our values—integrity, trust, safety, responsibility, and accessibility—are reflected daily in the accuracy of our work and the attention we give to your needs. Today, more than 2,200 clients in France and internationally place their trust in us.
- ISO 17025 accreditation (scope no. 1-1793)
- Recognition under the Research Tax Credit (CIR)
These certifications attest to the rigor of our quality system and enable clients to obtain funding for training or R&D projects.
Training and R&D
As a certified training organization, FILAB helps your teams acquire new skills in chemical analysis and materials characterization.
Our 5,200 m² facilities, with 98% of services carried out in-house, allow us to provide practical, results-driven training. In 2023, our courses achieved a 100% satisfaction and retention rate.
We offer both catalog training (ISO 17025, ICH Q3D, method development, analytical techniques, etc.) and fully customized training programs, delivered either on-site or via webinars.
Our role extends beyond analyses. We also provide R&D support, including bibliographic studies, process development, deformulation, root cause identification, and industrial assistance.
By combining methodological and analytical expertise, we help you detect anomalies in raw materials, processes, or storage conditions, while offering concrete solutions and tailored training to optimize production and improve product quality.
