REACH analysis at ECHA in the laboratory
You wish to submit a REACH dossier to ECHA
Firstly, REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) is the European regulation that requires all manufacturers and importers of chemical substances, including mixtures of more than one tonne per year, to register these substances with the ECHA (European Chemicals Agency).
This registration consists of compiling dossiers containing information on the physico-chemical, toxicological and ecotoxicological properties of the substances, an assessment of the risks to health and the environment and the appropriate management measures.
All substances are covered, including natural substances, organic substances and metals. Those used in industrial processes and those found in mixtures, such as in cleaning products, paints as well as substances contained in articles such as textiles, furniture, computer equipment or electronic components.
Manufacturers, users and importers of these substances located in the EU must comply with ECHA’s testing criteria.
