You have a problem involving tribology in surface analysis

Tribology in a few words

Tribology is the science that studies the phenomena that can occur between two material systems in contact, whether they are moving or stationary. The term tribology therefore refers to a variety of fields such as wear, friction, lubrication and the study of interfaces.

Why perform tribology in surface analysis?

Tribology allows the study of different types of wear:

  • wear by abrasion/erosion
  • wear by adhesion (tearing of materials adhering to each other)
  • wear by corrosion (for metal surfaces)
  • fatigue wear

If you are concerned by one or more of these problems, the analysis of your surfaces by means of tribology is necessary.

The FILAB laboratory supports you in your needs by means of tribology in surface analysis

The FILAB laboratory has an analytical park of 2100m² and a qualified team. It assists manufacturers of all sectors and sizes in surface analysis by tribology using analytical methods such as

  • Scanning Electron Microscopy coupled with an EDX microprobe (FEG-EDX SEM)
  • Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM)
  • X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS)
  • Profilometry

Thanks to its high level of in-house expertise and tailor-made support, FILAB can offer you solutions tailored to your needs.
