Izod impact tests on polymers

You wish to perform Izod impact tests on your polymers...

The Izod impact test is a method of determining the impact resistance or toughness of a material.

In other words, this test measures the total amount of energy a material is capable of absorbing.

ISO 180 defines the method used for pendulums to determine the impact resistance of a plastic sample under defined conditions. Different test parameters are specified in the standard depending on the type of material of which the sample is made and the type of notch made in it.

FILAB laboratory can assist you in performing Izod impact tests on your polymers

With the support of a partner laboratory, the FILAB laboratory can assist you in carrying out Izod impact tests on your polymers in accordance with ISO Standard 180.

We also offer other physicochemical and thermal analysis services on polymers such as

Deformation and chemical composition analysis

Determination of the mineral load by ICP or CLI

Determination of chemical substances at risk by GC-MS, LC-MS, LC-QTOF, PY-GCMS: additives, anti-oxidants, bisphenol A, heavy metals, redisual solvents, nitrosamines, plasticizers...

Determination of molecular weight by GPC

PHYSICO-CHEMICAL AND THERMAL CHARACTERIZATION

Determination of the polydispersity
