You wish to perform Charpy impact tests on your polymers...
The purpose of the Charpy impact bending test is to measure the resistance of a material to failure. It is frequently called Charpy impact test or even Charpy test. It is preferably performed on an unnotched specimen.
In the Charpy impact test the specimen is positioned horizontally.
The ISO 179 standard specifies a method for determining the Charpy impact strength of plastics. A pendulum sheep animated by a determined speed causes by a single percussion the rupture of a specimen (smooth or notched) placed between two supports. The purpose of the test is to determine the energy required to break the specimen.
FILAB laboratory can assist you in performing Charpy impact tests on your polymers
With the support of a partner laboratory, the FILAB laboratory can assist you in carrying out Izod impact tests on your polymers in accordance with the ISO 179 standard.
We also offer other physicochemical and thermal analysis services on polymers such as
