Laboratory analysis and expertise of nickel and nickel alloys
Chemical analyses of nickel alloys: one of FILAB’s many skills
Rarely used in its pure form, often mixed with other metals as part of an alloy, nickel is one of the most widespread metals used in alloys.
Nickel alloys are very resistant to heat and to corrosion, which allows them to be used in a wide range of applications.
For over 20 years, FILAB laboratory has been providing metallurgical analyses of nickel samples to hundreds of clients, some of which were provided under ISO 17025 accreditation.
FILAB laboratory provides its experience and its specific skills to inspect the quality of your nickel and Inconel samples:
- Chemical composition analysis and grade inspection of nickel alloys
- Chemical analysis of Inconel
- Analyses in accordance with the ISO 7530-1:2015 standard
- Nickel leaching tests
Our analytical fleet dedicated to analyzing copper, brass and bronze:
- ICP-AES and ICP-MS elemental analyses
- OES spark spectrometry
- C, H, O, N, S elemental analysis
- Scanning Electron Microscopy
Going even further: our expertise of nickel alloys
As well as performing routine metallurgical analyses, FILAB laboratory can provide you with its skills in metallurgical expertise and failure analysis for your nickel samples:
- Metallographic examinations of nickel alloys
- Coating thickness measurements on nickel parts
- Weld analyses
- Corrosion resistance studies
- Rupture analysis
- Surface analysis and characterization (rugosity, defects…)
- Accelerated aging tests (corrosion, surface alterations…)
