Your needs: perform a TiAl analysis

Laboratory analysis of TiAl

TiAl, or titanium aluminide, is an intermetallic alloy composed mainly of titanium (Ti) and aluminium (Al).

TiAl is a new class of aerospace alloys belonging to the family of gamma titanium aluminides (γ-TiAl) with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and high chemical and thermal stability. In fact, titanium aluminide alloy has excellent mechanical properties as well as resistance to oxidation and corrosion at high temperatures (over 600 degrees Celsius). This makes TiAl the most recent category of materials to compete with nickel superalloys in the manufacture of aircraft engine parts.

Analysis of TiAl alloys

TiAl, an alloy of Titanium and Aluminium, has a wide range of properties and is used in many industrial sectors, including aerospace.

The FILAB laboratory carries out comprehensive analysis of the composition of TiAl alloys to help optimise production and recycling processes or any other need you may have as an industrialist.

We identify alloying elements and measure concentrations to meet the technical specifications of each project.

Analysis of TiAl composition

Analysis of the composition of TiAl ensures that materials meet the required quality standards.

Our laboratory offers a dedicated service for checking the chemical composition of TiAl alloys, by measuring the proportions of chemical elements such as titanium, aluminium and niobium.

These analyses validate the conformity of materials for demanding applications in terms of durability and strength.

Why choose the FILAB laboratory to analyse TiAl?

Our TiAl analysis methods

The FILAB laboratory offers metallurgical analysis services on TiAl alloys to several hundred customers, some of which are COFRAC ISO 17025 accredited.

We use state-of-the-art analytical methods, such as optical emission spectrometry and ICP analysis, to provide highly accurate TiAl analysis results.

These techniques enable us to detect elements at very low concentrations and provide detailed reports.
