BDDE is a cross-linking agent that can be used to :

  • preparing amylose, xylan and hydroxyethyl cellulose
  • to cross-link polyethyleneimine which is also used as a hole-blocking layer in organic solar cells
  • for cross-linking hyaluronic acid into hydrogels
  • for the activation of soluble dextran polymers.
