Laboratory analysis of NDPA

Would you like to analyse and measure NDPA (CAS: 621-64-7) in your product?

NDPA, a chemical compound classified as a risk substance

NDPA (N-nitrosodipropylamine) is a molecule belonging to the nitrosamine family.

Like all nitrosamines, NDPA has been classified by the IARC and WHO as a hazardous substance and a potential human carcinogen.

Nitrosamines are also monitored by the ANSM (Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé), which carries out more detailed studies into the risks associated with the presence of nitrosamines in medicinal products.

The Order of 2 October 1997 limits the use of certain forms of nitrosamines, including NDPA, by indicating the tolerated residual quantity and, in some cases, the indicative incorporation dose.

FILAB, laboratory for the analysis and determination of NDPA in industrial products

In order to support manufacturers in the development and quality control of their products, in line with regulatory developments, the laboratory provides state-of-the-art analytical equipment, enabling NDPA and its precursors to be measured in trace form in all types of matrix (food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, polymer, water, etc.).

Analyses are carried out using LC-MSMS and other techniques.

The detection limits for NDPA vary from 1 to 10µk/kg (ppb) depending on the type of matrix.

FILAB can also develop specific methods or validate methods (ICH Q2) on your matrices.
