What is sizing?
A sizing is a surface treatment applied to a material to improve some of its properties. Sizing products are commonly used in the textile industry, but they can also be used on other types of materials such as plastics, metals and ceramics. The study of the sizing of a material, in particular by XPS, enables you to adapt your manufacturing processes as well as the implementation of surface treatment or cleaning processes.
